Our straight straw are great all-occasion straw and suited to most takeaway drinks
In Australia alone, we use about 10 million straws a day, adding up to 3.5 billion a year!
On average, plastic straws are used for 15-30 minutes and then become waste. They can’t be recycled, so they go straight to landfill where they can take up to 500 years to break down. They often become pollution and are one of the most common items found in beach cleans. It is estimated that about 70 million plastic straws end up in the ocean’s every year where, if they not are consumed by or cause injury to marine animals such as sea turtles and sea birds, they break down into microplastic, contributing to ocean acidity and global warming. Plastic straws are part of the much larger issue of plastic pollution, but don’t let your next plastic straw be the one that broke the camel’s back.
A stainless-steel straw is a straw for life. So why not make your reusable straw the last straw you will ever need.
